How to install decorative films yourself
Decorative films are a great way to enhance the look of various surfaces in your home or business space. This guide will help you apply the films correctly and achieve professional results with minimal effort. Follow these simple steps to ensure a perfect application.

Film preparation
Prepare the vinyl to the dimensions of the surface you will be applying it to.

Surface Preparation
Thoroughly clean the surface to remove dust, dirt, and debris. If there is any surface damage, such as dents or scratches, we recommend repairing it with filler. Apply a thorough coat of primer (3M Primer 94) to the surface and allow it to dry completely.

Applying the Vinyl – Remove the backing paper and align the vinyl.
Slowly peel off the backing paper from the adhesive side of the vinyl. Place the vinyl onto the prepared surface and carefully align it so that the wood grain or pattern follows the lines of the furniture.

Applying the Vinyl – Remove excess vinyl
Carefully fold over the corners, and use cotton gloves while smoothing out the vinyl. Carefully trim away the excess vinyl using a craft knife.

Removing Air Bubbles
Use a soft cloth or a squeegee to press out air and bubbles from the center outwards, to ensure the vinyl is applied smoothly and remains bubble-free.
